ACG Lab
Over the years there have been a few strange ACG creations, none more so than the Moth. These instruments come about because I like to experiment with body shapes and try out new things. This is partly for my own amusement and also to try out new techniques to increase my own skill set. The amusement is because I like building instruments, it was a hobby before it was a business and the experimenting is the enjoyment you get from a hobby. It does not need to have a reason other than I want to or can. The skill set is more for my own development as a builder to either try something I have not done before or to try a new way of doing something I have done many times. I don’t as a general rule try out new things on basses that customers are paying for.
There have been more than a few body shapes that have had very limited appeal to the extent that the only person that likes them is me and at times once in the real world I am not convinced either.
These have generally been sold as prototypes or have had a very limited build run before being discontinued, however they are all still available should someone want them. These now all live in the ACG Lab and not in the main website. Two reasons for this. The lab perfectly sums up the experimental aspects of a lot of these builds and secondly it is to reduce what can be a rather confusing line up of shapes.
So if you don’t see a body shape on the main website it will be lurking in the ACG Lab.
