I was looking for something a bit more aggressive in the shape but further developing player comfort. One of the things I look for when drawing a new shape is attitude. This is difficult to explain but I know straight away when a new shape lacks attitude. It is not always easy to pin down what is missing or needs changed in order to achieve the required level of attitude but it becomes quickly apparent if a shape is simply not going to get there, the Krell appeared with attitude and has quickly become one of my most popular models. Part of my own remit was to make a bass that works very well while seated since what little playing I do is done sitting. So the shape of the lower horn always had this goal in mind. The shape worked out very well I own the Krell prototype which is a 6 string fretless.<\/p>\n
The Krell shape also covers the E Type single cut. The E in the name reflects design input from my good friend Ewan Beck. Both these models are also available in a headless version.<\/p>\n
